        What do these results mean?

Your bowel profile reflects how you perceive your bowel health in the categories of:

        • time you spend on the toilet to move your bowels
        • whether you take medication to help with your bowels
        • the frequency of accidental loss of ‘poo’ or gas

Also, the bowel profile shows how satisfied you are with your bowel function and whether or not you experience bowel-related pain.

Each section is colour coded green, yellow or red, and the colours reflect the severity of your self-assessment of potential bowel problems:

        • Green – No problems. You are probably satisfied with your bowel health.
        • Yellow – Moderate problems. There may be some aspects of your bowel routine that you find challenging.
        • Red – Considerable problems. You may be struggling with your bowel routine and feel concerned about your bowel health overall.

What should I do with these results?

Take a screenshot of your results. They highlight the area(s) that may be troublesome for you. If you have any yellow or red results, show them to your doctor.

Lots of people feel embarrassed talking about their bowels, but your doctor will be accustomed to talking about bowel-related concerns. You can use your bowel profile to get the conversation about your bowel health started.
